JKA Scotland Gasshuku and Grading

Our annual Gasshuku is three days of excellent training with senior instructors from JKA Japan and JKA England.

The lead instructor is always 7th Dan or above from the JKA Japan honbu in Tokyo, accompanied by a third of fourth Dan junior instructor, who is often a member of the JKA Japan squad or a recent champion.

At present, while we are publishing the dates here, it is not clear if this year’s event will be going ahead due to the global pandemic.  It remains possible that travel restrictions could be lifted, and the events could go ahead in a socially-distanced fashion, so please don’t make any assumptions either way.

The location is in Dunfermline to try  and be as accessible as possible to our students from all across the country.

A kyu grading is held on the Saturday, with a Dan grading on the Sunday.
